Quote of the Day-February 26, 2010

53) "Education is a kind of continuing dialogue, and a dialogue assumes in the nature of the case, a different point of view."

- Robert Huchus (1899-1977)

Education never stops, it's always in movement. Meaning that we learn everyday, at any time. It'll follow us till we breathe our last breath. I guess that is what this means...

Quote of the Day-February 24, 2010

52) "Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or yourself confidence."

- Robert Frost (1874-1963)

What I think this means is that without education, your behavior will not improve. We see that it is necessary to know this since we will be hearing stuff that sometimes we don't like and what to do something fatal about it. By this, we learn to respond with violent character. This may lead to even the death of a loved one...

Quote of the Day-February 23, 2010

51) "A college degree is not a sign that one is a finished product but an indication a person is prepared for life."

- Reverend Eduard A. Malloy

A college degree means that you are prepared to live life. I don't really agree that much with this quotation entirely due to the fact that we all haven't seen all the perspectives of life just some. SO that means that we're not really that prepared for what's coming up everyday.

Quote of the Day-February 19, 2010

50) "The secret of all success is to know how to deny yourself. Prove that you can control yourself and you are an educated person; and without this all other education is good for nothing."

- R. D. Hitchcock

It is relevant that we see our mistakes and learn from them. It is better to not say what you don't mean. Another relevant idea is that we also have to control our character and we will be more educated and will not be ignored. That's how the people of higher status makes negotiations.

Quote of the Day-February 17, 2010

49) "It is the ignorant who despise education."

- Pubilius Syrus (~1000 BC)

This means that the people who don't like to include education in their daily lives will be the ones that are ignorant (and Vice Versa).

Quote of the Day-February 12, 2010

48) "The very spring and root of honesty and virtue lie in good education."

- Plutargh (46 A.D. - 120 A.D.)

It's relevant to learn due to the fact that we also learn other attitudes along the path. And we leave path for others that we care about: our families.

Quote of the Day-February 10, 2010

47) "The direction in which education starts a man/woman will determine his/her future life."

- Plato (427 B.C.- 347 B.C.)

This means that where a person starts an education will determine their future. I believe this is true somehow.

Quote of the Day-February 9, 2010

46) "They know what the purpose of education is: not to be frightened by the best, but to treat it as part of daily life."

- John Mason Brown (1900-1969)

Education is part of our lives, we learn of it every single day. There is no way that education is hard; people are lazy or unwilling to learn/concentrate.
